Bedroom Update with The Citizenry

I was kindly gifted a set of new summer linens and other bedroom decor from one of my favorite home decor stores, The Citizenry. The Citizenry has been an enduring favorite — and not just for their aesthetic. I appreciate that they draw from cultural inspirations from around the globe as both a way to honor unique, timeless and traditional aesthetics, and to ensure ethical sourcing and fair trade. In a world filled with an endless cycle of buying thanks to mass producers and worldwide marketplaces like Amazon et al., I find that The Citizenry stands out as one of the only home decor retailers that is a true global marketplace with artisan partners who make beautiful and real products.

So while you can feel good buying beautiful home goods, you can also feel good that you’re honoring their principle of “people and planet first”.

Philosophy aside, I do really love these new Stonewashed Linen Sheets in Sand Thin Stripe. I’ve tried a number of linen sheets prior to this, and usually my husband makes me change them because “they’re too rough”. We did not have this problem with these, and have found them truly comfortable, soft and airy. Made using French flax and woven in the oldest, family-run linen mill in Portugal, each piece is Oeko-Tex® certified and made sustainably in a fair-trade environment.

Also featured here are my favorite Linen Shams in Rose, and this handwoven in Oaxaca Black and White Lumbar Pillow. Together these bedroom decor pieces have made our room our little sanctuary, perfect for reading a book over some tea.

Until 7/16/22, The Citizenry is kindly offering my followers and readers 15% off all bedding with my code LIZ15!
